Chaad Thomas brings nearly 30 years of experience in the wine industry, beginning his career as a waiter where he quickly recognized the value of wine knowledge in increasing tips. His initial interest evolved into a deep passion when he discovered how wine intertwined his love for history, travel, food, and culture. This newfound passion led him to roles as a retail buyer, sommelier, and wine director before transitioning into owning and operating a wine importing and distribution business, which he sold due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, Chaad continues to thrive in wholesale wine distribution, serving as a marketing director where he shares the stories of the people, history, and culture behind the wines. Throughout his career, he has remained dedicated to building and developing the wine community, fostering relationships, and supporting the growth of emerging talent within the industry. Based in Ann Arbor, Chaad enjoys traveling with his wife and children, cycling, and, of course, continuing his lifelong love of wine.

Owner and operator of Zingerman's Food Tours and Ground Control Wines, Kristie Brablec brings her boundless passion for gastronomy to everything she does. With over 20 years in the food and wine industry, her work has taken her across the globe, deepening her expertise and love for culinary experiences. Beyond food and wine, Kristie is a potter, photographer, creative thinker, music lover, and masterful party host—always curating experiences that bring people together in meaningful ways.
